Can I get a short term loan with my bank?
A short term loan is one that is usually paid back within three to five years and is for a relatively small amount of money. Although it may seem like a relatively easy loan to get, not all lenders have the same criteria and your bank may decline your application on a number of criteria. While South African citizenship, proof of employment and bank statements are all necessary to apply for a short-term loan, the most important factor for applicants to consider is whether they have an acceptable credit score. Check with your bank to determine how important this is to them.
